Speaker Bio
Dr Lana Ferris is a naturopathic doctor in Vancouver, WA. She specializes in mental health, eating disorders, and transgender health. In addition, she especially enjoys working with complex trauma, highly sensitive people, and burnout.
She is committed to providing a judgment-free and welcoming space for everyone regardless of race, size, gender identity, sexual orientation, or background. Moreover, Dr Lana firmly embraces “Health at Every Size” as she understands that well-being transcends a number on a scale. She provides trauma-informed care and works with you to make sure you feel comfortable seeking care for sensitive topics.
Her journey to becoming a Naturopathic Doctor started at Whitworth in Spokane WA for my undergraduate. Then she finished at the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in 2020. Dr Lana completed multiple clinical rotations in mental health, transgender health, and addiction medicine.
Course Description
This lecture will explore the link between developmental/early childhood trauma and ADHD. Developmental trauma causes changes in neurodevelopment that persist through adulthood and contribute to ADHD symptoms. This session will cover the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD including pharmacological and neutraceutical treatments.
