increasing access to Naturopathic Medicine

  • Our organization represents about 50 members. Although the state of NH is small, we have a high concentration of Naturopathic Doctors and that number is quickly growing!
  • Our members are thriving. According to the Nutrition Business Journal, the average naturopathic doctor purchases about $8,000 per year in dietary supplements. According to an internal survey, the average of NHAND members is more than twice that with several practices purchasing over $50,000 per year in supplements! Our members are thriving and we want you to grow with us.

About the NHAND

You came to the right place to find Naturopathic Doctors in NH.

The New Hampshire Association of Naturopathic Doctors (NHAND) is an organization comprised of New Hampshire state-licensed naturopathic doctors (also known as NDs).

NHAND was founded in 1988 with the intention of advancing the philosophy and art of naturopathic medicine within the state of New Hampshire. The law granting licensure to naturopathic doctors was passed in 1995 and instituted in 1996. Since that time, the NHAND has expanded to 40 members and the governing board has licensed over 100 naturopathic doctors in the state of New Hampshire. One of NHAND’s greatest accomplishments has been to assist in the ability for naturopathic medicine to be covered by some insurance companies in the state. The organization continues to grow and be active in New Hampshire by organizing the largest yearly naturopathic medicine conference in New England, as well as working to increase awareness of national Naturopathic Medicine week...

Dr. Lauren Marcoullier, Chiropractor and Naturopathic Doctor, is a southern Maine native living in New Hampshire. She received her doctoral degrees from the National University of Health Sciences in Illinois. Initially only planning to pursue a degree in Naturopathic medicine, she became intrigued and wanted a stronger foundation in physical medicine after working in a chiropractic office while attending graduate school. Now, being able to intertwine both degrees when working with patients allows for a broader scope of treatment modalities to help her patients achieve their health goals.

Read Bio
Dr. Alyssa Marley received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. Prior to attending Bastyr, Dr. Marley studied Biology and Anthropology at Fordham University in New York. Dr. Marley's passion for biology and anthropology, and the intersection of these disciplines, drew her to naturopathic medicine. She was fascinated by ancient people’s intricate understanding of the human body and the ways in which culture and society influenced health on a macroscopic level. Building on her own Greek and Polish roots, Dr. Marley integrates traditional healing wisdom with evidenced-based natural medicine interventions to treat the underlying cause of disease and address wellness on the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual planes.

Dr. Marley focuses on whole family health care, serving both female and male clients from infancy onward. Her practice primarily centers on hormonal imbalances including thyroid, adrenal, and reproductive hormones; women’s health concerns such as irregular menstrual cycles, recurrent vaginal or urinary tract infections, premenstrual syndrome, polycystic ovary syndrome, fertility and preconception care; digestive disorders like acid reflux, small intestinal bacterial and fungal overgrowth, irritable bowel syndrome, and inflammatory bowel disease; autoimmune diseases such as Hashimoto's disease, Celiac disease, rheumatoid arthritis and more; chronic infections including viral, bacterial, fungal, and tick-borne; and environmental detoxification.

In her free time, Dr. Marley enjoys spending time in nature—hiking, cycling, and swimming—and in her kitchen cooking up delicious recipes and baking allergen-free desserts. She loves to travel and frequently visits Cyprus and Poland where the majority of her family lives. She is excited to serve the New Hampshire ND community in her new role as secretary.
